A Precision Tea Blending Class for Vacheron Constantin

From the Field — Corporate Blending

Collins Street Melbourne·Corporate Tea Blending

The Impala & Peacock blending table set up for the Vacheron Constantin tea blending session

Amid movement gauges, loupes, and a maison built on precision to the fraction of a millimetre, the Vacheron Constantin team and exclusive clients traded their tools for tasting spoons for an afternoon.

We were invited in to run a guided tea blending session for Vacheron Constantin exclusive clients — a chance to slow down together, work with their hands, and leave with something they’d made themselves. Each guest worked through a selection of loose leaf teas and botanicals, tasting and smelling their way toward a blend that was entirely their own, before bottling it to take home.

No two blends left the room the same. But a few ingredients came up again and again.

Most Popular Notes

Vacheron Constantin Botanicals

Three notes stood out across the room

  • PeppercornSharp and warming, the note most people reached for first
  • LemongrassBright and citrus-clean, cutting through the spice
  • RaspberryRounded the blend out with a soft, fruited finish

There was something fitting about a room full of people trained to notice the finest details gravitating toward a blend built on contrast — warmth against brightness, spice against fruit. Peppercorn set the tone in blend after blend, with lemongrass for lift and raspberry softening the edges.
