Between the glass cases and the quiet formality of Dior's Collins Street boutique — every seam considered, every surface polished — we set up a tea bar. Loose leaf in open jars, roses cut short in a low vase, a scatter of black-and-white porcelain in place of the usual paper cups. For an afternoon, the boutique held two crafts at once.
We were invited in to bring a tea experience into the store itself — a tasting bar guests could move through between the rails, with a signature blend created for the occasion and sent home with each guest, tied off in white ribbon stamped with the house's name.

Three notes stood out across the room
- Rose petals — Soft, floral, and rounding, the note most people paused on first
- Lavender — Cool and a little austere, the note that gave the blend its restraint
- Roasted rice — Warm, nutty, grounding, the note that stopped it tipping into sweetness
There's a version of this blend that could have leaned purely decorative — all rose, all softness. Instead the room chose restraint alongside it, which felt right for a house built as much on precision as on beauty.
