A Signature Blend for the Zendesk Team
From the Field — Corporate Blending
Twenty desks away from their usual lunch spot, the Zendesk team spent an afternoon learning to build a tea blend from the ground up.
We were invited into Zendesk’s new Melbourne office on Bourke Street to run a guided tea blending session for their workplace team. The brief was simple: give people something to do with their hands, something to talk about with each other, and something to take home.
Each person worked through a small selection of loose leaf teas and botanicals, tasting and smelling their way toward a blend that suited them, before bottling it themselves to bring home and brew. No two blends left the building the same.

- Olive LeafA practical choice, added with a few colds moving through the office
- RooibosThe base most people built their blend on
It says something about a team when the most requested ingredient in the room is one chosen to look after each other. Olive leaf found its way into blend after blend, alongside rooibos as a steady base and raspberry and coconut for brightness.
