For nursing mothers managing mastitis and breast inflammation
Mastitis Relief is formulated to support breast health during inflammation, engorgement, or infection. With anti-inflammatory, circulation-supporting, and lymphatic-draining botanicals, this tea is designed as a daily support for breastfeeding women.
Why Mastitis Relief
Mastitis affects up to 20% of nursing mothers and causes pain, swelling, redness, and sometimes fever. While antibiotics may be prescribed, supportive herbal care—applied topically as a compress or taken as a tea—can ease inflammation and support recovery. Begin drinking at the first signs of breast inflammation. Most effective when used consistently, 2–3 cups daily, throughout the acute phase.
Botanical Research
Calendula — One of the most trusted herbs for breast health. Traditionally used to reduce inflammation and support lymphatic drainage. Apply cooled tea as a compress directly to affected tissue, or drink to support healing from within.
Ginger — Potent anti-inflammatory and circulation-enhancer. Increases blood flow to affected tissue, supporting the body's natural response and reducing pain associated with engorgement or inflammation.
Cleavers — A gentle lymphatic herb traditionally used to support lymph movement and reduce swelling. Particularly valuable in mastitis when lymphatic congestion contributes to pain.
Turmeric — Contains curcumin, a powerful anti-inflammatory compound. Traditionally used in Ayurveda for breast health and inflammation support.
Chamomile — Gentle anti-inflammatory and soothing; helps ease discomfort and promotes relaxation during a painful acute phase.
Rose Petals — Adds floral lift and subtle astringency; traditionally used to support breast tissue.
How to Use
As a tea: Steep 1 teaspoon per 200ml for 5–7 minutes. Drink 2–3 cups daily during acute inflammation. Continue for 1–2 weeks after symptoms resolve to prevent recurrence.
As a compress: Brew a strong batch (use 2 teaspoons per 200ml) in warm (not hot) water, soak a clean cloth, and apply directly to the affected breast for 10–15 minutes, 2–3 times daily. Follow with gentle heat if comfortable.
Important: Mastitis Relief is supportive care, not a medical treatment. If you experience fever, severe pain, or symptoms persist beyond 48 hours, consult your healthcare provider. This tea is safe while nursing.
