The infusion is a cloudy emulsion formed by the natural coconut oil which beads on the surface of the tea. As a result, the texture of this infusion is unique and irresistibly smooth and creamy.
Although this tea contains a tiny dash of licorice root, it’s not licorice in flavour. In fact we often use this tisane in our tea blending workshops as a blind taste tester and hardly any participant ever identifies the licorice. That is because licorice root has an odd and intriguing effect at very low quantities; it has a gentle sweetening effect in its aftertaste without the distinct licorice flavour.
